About Education URL
Welcome to The National Computer Center's (NCC) Listing of Philippine Web Sites or Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) in Education. The NCC, an arm of Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), has collected local based/hosted websites that will be used by Community eCenters (CeCs) stationed all over the country. The project’s initiative is to map out available and existing Philippine–based and/or developed online resources in four content areas: Agriculture, Education, Health and Livelihood and Entrepreneurship. The scope is limited to publicly-accessible websites that are created, hosted and/or maintained in the Philippines or by Filipinos. This Resource provides the community e-center (CeC) users easy access to information on job placements, entrepreneurial activities, trainings, and other livelihood and entrepreneurship-related content.
Focusing on Philippine-based or local content, information is presented in contexts that the users can understand or identify with. It is a way of sustainably enhancing the user’s skills and knowledge and encouraging the creation of opportunities for technological innovation and socio-economic growth.
The Molave Development Foundation, Inc. has worked on developing a catalogue of all Philippine websites in Education. Beneficiaries of this project are users of the Community eCenters, which are self-sustaining shared facilities providing affordable access to ICT-enabled services and relevant content. The CeCs serve as a conduit for efficient delivery of government services and a powerful tool for empowerment and participation of unserved and underserved communities in development.
